I’m very hesitant to buy workout leggings online, because I can never tell of the quality and fit. Online purchases for any type of clothing is pretty much hit or miss. I much prefer to try something on in the store just to be sure.
Despite that, I bit the bullet and purchased a pair of Flora Seamless Leggings, in Black Camo, from Jed North (Canada). At the time, I purchased them for $35 CDN. They are currently priced at $40 CDN.
I don’t typically buy camo, because I find the patterns somewhat fake, if that makes sense, but I liked the pattern and colour combo on these.
As with most of my tights, these are high-waisted, and while these are high-waisted, they don’t really hold in the tummy (in comparison to my Old Navy tights), which is what I need the most. The compression just isn’t there. If you’re bloated, it’s going to show. There’s no forgiveness here. If you have rock-solid abs, these are definitely for you.
Nevertheless, I still really like them. They are super stretchy and comfortable, which allows for unrestricted movement. Also, the waistband does not roll down. It stays put.
On a squat-proof rating of 1 to 10, I’d say these are a 6.5. I would do lower body workout in these, but I wouldn’t squat or deadlift in them.
I’ve had these tights for just over a year, and they have held up really well throughout workouts and washes. In summary, I rate these tights as follows:
Quality: 9
Comfort: 10
Compression: 0
Squat Proof: 6.5
Price Point: 10
I will definitely buy from Jed North again, but I will steer towards something with more compression.
I bought the New Balance sports bra at Winners. This bra is super comfy, fits perfectly, and doesn’t reveal too much when bending forward, to do a bent-over fly, for example.
