About Me

Aging.  It’s inevitable.

I’m lucky enough to have celebrated another birthday.  For that, I am truly blessed.   But, as change of age comes, so does change in, well…everything.

Take my skin, for example.  My skin has been looking somewhat lackluster as of late.  I have enlarged pores, dark circles under my eyes, and excessive oil, resulting in the caking of most of my eye makeup. The fine lines and wrinkles are creeping in, especially when I smile, and my greys are sprouting like wildfire. Thank goodness for filters.  Ha!

I’d rather not dwell on those negative aspects however, so I’ve started the hunt for new skincare and makeup products in hopes of reviving a bit of youthful glow and appearance.  I’m excited to try new things.  Honestly, I’m just looking for healthy looking skin and the ability to wear less makeup–if I can get away with it.  I will be sharing my reviews, so stay tuned.  As always, I support cruelty-free cosmetics.

In an attempt to keep my body as strong as possible, I workout.  Often.  Anywhere from five to six days a week.   I’m loving the process, and I’ve never been in better physical shape.  I love the muscle I’m building, but not loving the body (not muscle) pain that goes with it. I follow programs, and I meet with a trainer once a week. Occasionally, I pop in a hot yoga session (I really should implement it on regular rotation).

In an attempt to keep my body as healthy as possible, I follow macros and aim to hit those macros as healthily as I can.  I have quite a few food sensitivities, so I try to avoid those items, but sometimes it’s hard to meet my macros without including some of them.  I also have digestive issues which leaves me frustrated as hell, but I continue.  I’ve tried all kinds of elimination diets.  I no longer do that.  I’m okay with everything in moderation, even if my stomach isn’t.

I’m also trying to balance out my workouts by adding reading back into my life.  In my younger days, I spent countless hours reading. I loved going to the library.  I haven’t been in the library in quite some time, but I do enjoy spending time in the bookstore.  I could get lost in there.

Thank you for reading!  I hope you’ll stick it through with me here.
