When I joined my first boot camp years ago, I never thought I’d walk away with as many new friends as I did. Our classes were smaller then, with limited time slots, making the perfect breeding ground for connections to grow and flourish.Although the boot camp is no longer, thanks to COVID, and despite the fact that I haven’t been signed up for boot camp in YEARS, the majority of the “OG” crew remain connected on Facebook and Instagram.
So, when my friend’s daughter started her new business, I wanted to support her. I was intrigued with the product videos provided on the Instagram page and decided to try out two items that really caught my eye.
I bought the Coffee Sugar Scrub (and a body cream). The scrub retails for $34.99 CDN.
The Coffee Sugar Scrub claims to gently exfoliate away dead skin cells and leave skin conditioned and moisturized.
Ingredients are: Sucrose, Shea Butter, Coffee Grounds, Coconut) Oil, Olive Fruit Oil, and Castor Seed Oil.
Now, I think it’s important to note that I have a strong dislike for coffee. I just can’t drink it. I find it gross. I do however, LOVE the aroma of freshly-brewed coffee. In my old blog/website, I praised the likes of Lush’s Cup-O-Coffee Face and Body Scrub. Because I love the Lush scrub, I wasn’t too worried about not liking this scrub, hence the decision to purchase.
When using the scrub, I had to scoop some into my hands, add some water, and break it down a bit, so that it was spreadable and actually stick to the skin (as opposed to just falling off). I was worried it (and I) was going to be dry because of this step, but I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t dry and that I felt hydrated once the scrub was rinsed off.
If I wanted to, I could miss the moisturizing step, because this had enough moisturization in it to continue on.
In a nutshell, I really like this scrub, and it will be a repeat purchase for me.
